Beware: Phishing can cause more damage than a virus.

If you received an email from the IRS would you respond? If you got an email from your Bank would you respond?
In many cases such an email can be a scam or far worse, fraud – tricking you into releasing personal or private information that can compromise your identity, finances, business or more. This is Phishing.

According to Wikipedia: “Phishing is the attempt to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and sometimes, indirectly, money) by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.”

Some tips to learn how to recognize Phishing can be found here.

If you have a website for your business, it is a good idea to protect it from others masquerading around as yours and endangering you and your clients. Here are some helpful tips.

Make no mistake, a computer virus can cause significant damage or loss. A Phishing attack can be worse; protect yourself.

Support for Windows Server 2003 ending soon – act now.

Did you have a hard time moving beyond Windows XP in your office? Did the upgrade seem to take forever? Was the upgrade smooth and painless?

Just when you thought it was safe to turn on your computer, there is another time bomb ticking on Microsoft software, Windows Server 2003.

Just like April 8th, 2014 for Windows XP, on July 14, 2015 Microsoft will end support for Windows Server 2003. Unfortunately, server updates can be far more complex than desktops and require a lot more planning. Don’t get caught off guard, start now.
