Office in the Cloud – Microsoft Office or Google Docs?

In response to the success of Google Docs, Microsoft has announced that part of Office 2010 will be offered as a free (for personal use), web based cloud service. While you can’t login today and try the online versions of the popular office productivity applications, the buzz on the Internet is growing.

What does this mean for your desktop? What does this mean for your IT budget? What does it mean to your business? It’s probably too early to say. We can only hope that some healthy competition will benefit the users, us!
